Fun Friday: A Year Of Weight Loss

Every Friday at work I weigh myself and write my weight down on a piece of paper. I’ve seen my weight go up, stay the same and sometimes go down.

Actually it went down a bit.

Last night at work I was showing my coworker my weight loss numbers and after she walked away I looked at the date I started.

July 22, 2021!

A whole year.

Wow!

It’s been a rollercoaster with more ups than downs. It was tough to learn I had diabetes. It was tough to give up white bread and pepsi but I made it through.

I lost 40 pounds in the last year.

From to 205 pounds to 165 pounds!

Yay me!!!

I took pictures of my weight loss numbers.

I’m really proud of myself. I’ve come a long way in the last year.

I look better. I feel better.

Life is good!

Kindle Book Update

I’m still working on the first draft of my garage sale book.

I thought of more chapter ideas so that is what I will be working on this week.

I’m about half done.

My mom had a garage sale on Friday that I helped with so that sparked ideas and I made $20!

I’m still working on my business. I met with Tara, my realtor/mentor a week ago Friday to talk about my business flyer. I think from now on I’m just going to call her my mentor. She looked at my flyer and gave me some great ideas how to improve it. We talked for about 45 minutes. She’s awesome and gives great advice.

I don’t have any appointments this week so that gives me time to write.

Yay!!!

Fun Friday: The To Do List For LYLO

I’m so excited.

The to do list for LYLO is long, but it’s going to be fun.

Don’t let me fool you there’s other emotions going on here.

Fear.

Excitement.

Doubt.

I’m feeling all of the emotions and letting them go.

Enough procrastinating.

Here’s the list of things to do:

Figure out logo and font of logo. This is going to be fun. I love going through the different font styles. I love how some are bold, some are curvy and fancy and some are just blah.

Figure out business cards.

Get a post office box.

Finish the details on my insurance. I have an appointment on April 15 (Good Friday) to pay for the insurance. This one is almost complete.

Put an ad on Craigslist.

Get the flyer ready and give to Tara. My real estate agent, Tara, is going to hand out business flyers for me. Isn’t that sweet? Maybe I will get my first customer through her.

Get a Tax ID no.

Figure out of a filing system for my business papers.

Figure out a system that lists all of my expenses and that stuff.

Figure out what I supplies (label maker, tape, etc.) I need

Get my client questionnaire finished. I want to have my clients fill out a questionnaire so I know their needs and can figure out action plan.

Figure out what I need for my first consult.

Find my first client.

Wow! That’s quite the list.

Today I’m working on the getting a post office box. I’ve already been to two post offices in different city/town and going to a 3rd today. Each post office has different prices for their boxes. I want to check out all three before I chose. $100 for the year. Not bad.

Anything I missed? Any suggestions?

Feel free to comment. I value your input.

Thanks!

Weekly Goal: A Little Side Hustle

I’ve been thinking about two things lately.

The first thing is to blog about having a weekly goal that I share with you.

A goal and what I plan to accomplish that week.  Maybe the steps I plan to take or what I learned during the week.

I’m not sure how this will turn out but I’m going to give it a shot.

The second thing is starting a side hustle.

The side hustle I want to start is a home organization business.  I think I blogged about it before, but I don’t remember when.

Actually, it is more of an item purging business. I would help people let go of possessions and then organize their homes.

Covid was the reason I didn’t follow through originally.  I am vaccinated and boosted but I didn’t feel comfortable going into people’s houses and touching their things.

Now that Covid has subsided (for the moment) I feel it’s time to move forward with the idea.

My goals for the week are:

To go through my notes I have on my side hustle and organize them.

To fill out paperwork for an LLC in Wisconsin.

To complete my ad to give to my real estate agent, Tara, who will pass it out it to her clients.

To do some research on business cards and what information I need to put on the cards.

To figure out a questionnaire to ask my clients so I know their needs and how to help them.

Add a business page to my Facebook page.

As I write this, I think its going to take more than a week to achieve my goals. There is a lot to do.

I’ll let you know how things go.

One more thing…..

I am totally terrified.

Sunday Night Is Working On My Blog Night

I was thinking tonight, as I was looking through my blog posts to see what I should work on, that Sunday nights should be working on my blog night.

Football is over and I really don’t do anything on Sunday nights.

So why not?

I am working on my blog post “The Beginning” tonight which I will post sometime this week.

I am also thinking about a schedule for Fun Friday. I am working on the first post which I will post this Friday. I would like to post something every Friday. I have a couple of ideas for upcoming posts.

I was also thinking about posting weekly about one goal I have for that week. I wanted to post it on Mondays, but Sundays would probably work better. I think it would be a good way to start the week.

I’m not sure what I am going to do. I have a lot of ideas going through my head.

I just wanted to share what is going on so I can hold myself accountable for what I say I am going to do.

I wrote notes in the sideline of my calendar.

I have a plan!

2022 Goals

Over the last couple of months I have thought a lot about what I want to achieve in 2022.

I have two goals for 2002.

My writing is my first goal. I want to dig deep down and figure out what I really want to do with my writing. I stop and I start. I stop and I start. I want to figure out why. I thought if I started from the beginning and journal about and or blog about when I first decided I wanted to write and why and go on from there I could get to know my writing self a little better and deal with the crap that is holding me back.

Is writing truly my dream and if it’s not what is? That is the question I want to answer.

Getting to know my body and what she wants and needs is my second goal. I thought I knew my body, but getting Diabetes told me I do not. It was a big eye opener for me. I didn’t expect it to happen, but it did and now I have to deal with it. I’ve learned a lot in the two months. I didn’t realize I have a lot of food issues and negative beliefs. I need to sort through these and figure out what works for me and what doesn’t.

I want to be happy with my body.

It’s a short list, but I think it deals with every aspect of my life and I am looking forward to getting to know myself better. I know it’s not going to be easy. It’s going to painful some days. Growth isn’t easy. It’s messy and awkward. It’s going to take time and a lot of work.

I have a lot to share with you in 2022.

Thanks for being with me for the ride.

Getting Back In The Groove

Ahhh….it feels good to be at one of my favorite writing spot again.

I’m using today to get organized and find out where I am at.

I’m dealing with the folder and notebook I took with me on the plane to Vegas. I have a lot of notes for blog posts. I also started to rewrite the first a couple of chapters of Jane.

I’m trying to figure out my goals for June and what I want to accomplish.

I have some thinking to do.

I’m excited to get back to my writing.

I missed writing and all of you.

November Goals

I made a list of my goals for November.

1.  I want to clean my office and write posts as I organize and declutter.

2.  I want to let go of 30 more items.  I have a couple of more cabinets to go through in the kitchen and dining/living room. Yes, my office too.

3.  I want to participate in NaNoWriMo.  I know with my work schedule I don’t have time to write 1600 words a day, but I want to try to write 800.

4.  I want to walk 5,000 steps two times a week and eat a little healthier.

5. I want to post two or three times a week.

I’m writing my November goals on paper as I type this post. I’m also writing notes for the posts I want to post this week. I also want to starting working on chapter 1 for tomorrow.

My husband went to bed early so I’m taking advantage of some quiet time.

What are your goals for November?

Is anyone participating in NaNoWriMo?

Happy Halloween!
