One Of My Favorite Writing Spots

This library is one of my favorite places to write. It’s very peaceful and relaxing and I love looking at the trees and flowers outside.

I spent an hour or so there the last two afternoons. It’s nice to get away from the distractions at home and with the pandemic going on there’s hardly anyone at the library.

For some reason I feel I think better at the library. Maybe it’s because the table is big and I can spread all my stuff out.

This morning I rewrote the first half of a short story that I originally wrote in 2016 and havent looked at since. I’m happy with the progress I made.

There’s something to be said for an hour and a half of uninterrupted writing time.

Another thing I love about this library is that they have a pencil sharpener!

I usually hand write my rewrites in pencil before I type them and I hate writing with a dull pencil so I use the sharpener a few times while I’m there. I bring five or six pencils with me so I don’t have to get up all of the time to sharpen.

So many reasons to love my writing spot.

  4. Hello Chrissy from me. It looks so neat and well kept and hence, “A Very Positive place with Good Energies” exactly you feel Relaxed and Peaceful. Surely even I would love to stay if there is a place like that! You are “Relaxed and at Peace” that is why “You are able to Think clearly, write and work properly” If that is so exactly where you need to spend time as much as possible to write and work. You make me smile writing about the pencil sharpener 🙂

  5. What a lovely writing spot. Lucky are those who find a place where they feel peaceful enough to write. It is part of the battle being a writer. My favorite writing spot is not a spot at all but a time of day. For some reason I write best between 4am and 8am. Perhaps it is the fact that I haven’t quite woken up yet and so my thoughts don’t get in the way of the flow. Love your slogan – ‘ Listening To My Intuition Following My Heart’ and to that I will add my own – ‘Stay Curious’. Wishing you a lovely day. xxx

    1. Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by. I love your view on time. I didnt think about it that way before. I am at my spot right now writing before I go to work. Maybe that’s why I love it…its the silence before the storm. I am curious. I drove down country roads I’ve always wanted to go down but never took the time. Its inspiring. Have a great day!
