I Checked Four Items Off Of My Finishing The Unfinished List

I am happy to tell you I checked four items off of my Finishing The Unfinished list.

The first two items are figuring out my writing projects and my office. I figured out my writing projects at the beginning of April and I finished my office on April 15.

Here are the pictures of my office.

It feels so nice to have everything organized and easily accessible. I can walk into my office and grab what I want to work on and start working without having to dig for anything.

I’m excited.

The 3rd item is painting the dining room and living room. My sister and her boyfriend painted while we were in Vegas and it looks amazing. When we moved in three years ago it was a light gray. We hated it because it was so dark and uninviting. Now it’s a very light, creamy yellow. It’s warm and inviting and lighter and brighter! We love it.

The 4th item is changing over our truck/home/etc. to a new company which I took care of yesterday and today. American Family’s prices increased every year and we were tired of it. It took me 8 months to do the leg work and get quotes from three different companies because I didn’t want to leave. I had been with American Family for 27 years! The last straw was not being able to look at my accounts on line because I didn’t want to go paperless. I’m old school and like getting stuff in the mail. Anyway, it’s changed and we’re happy.

There are still 25 items on the list to cross off. I’m not sure which one I’m going to cross off next.

Number 27 on the list is to set up a writing routine. Maybe I’ll work on this as I figure out what my May writing goals are.

Sounds like a plan.

  1. Your office area reminds me a lot of mine! We apparently have very similar tastes. And good luck with setting up a writing routine. I’ve learned that good creative routines have a bit of flexibility built in. Too much routine can be stifling, but having a foundational structure is important. At least, that’s how it works for me.

    1. I know. I was thinking about that last night at work. Flexibility is good. I like that we are on the same wavelength with our offices. Thanks for reading and have a great day.
